Carl Tatz, inventor of the Phantom Focus System and Robb Wenner of Auralex explain and provide solutions that can make dramatic improvements to your monitoring system and solve common complaints, such as: “Why do I have such a hard time getting the low end right? My high end monitors go down to 30Hz yet when I make the bass and kick sound the way I really want them to, my mixes are way too bass heavy during the car test.” “My center image is really weak and panning placement is vague.” “I’ve added two powerful subwoofers and although it seems to have extended the low end, I still have a hard time figuring out the bass.” “I had my control room analyzed and spent quite a bit of money on acoustic treatment with bass traps but I’m still not confident about my mixes.”
